Sarah Wajihuddin is an abstract artist based in California, born and raised in Abu Dhabi. Her work is inspired by the golden deserts of the Middle East, the sunlit mountains of California, and the intricate beauty of Indian and American art, fashion, and architecture. With a background in Interior Design, Sarah brings a strong sense of composition and material exploration to her paintings. Her expressive brushwork and vibrant color palettes reflect emotion, spirituality, and nature—translating memories and prayers into layered visual stories. A recent visit to the Joan Mitchell exhibition in Washington, D.C. deepened her connection to abstract expressionism and affirmed her instinctive, intuitive approach. In addition to original paintings, Sarah creates annual scarf and hijab collections, turning her art into wearable expressions of identity and style.
